Is an ACIC investment TFSA eligible?
At this point in time we do not handle TFSA accounts. The minimum amount set by ACIC policy for a registered account (which must be held by a 3rd party trustee) is $20,000 whereas the maximum Federal Government allowable in a TFSA has not reached this limit. At the time when the TFSA Federal Maximum is equivalent to ACIC’s minimum, we will re-evaluate whether we will handle TFSA’s.
