The University Grants Commission (UGC) of the Government of India has notified the inclusion of Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Mysore in the list of universities under Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham maintained by the UGC under Section 3 of the UGC Act issued on 10 October 2006.
