Is Americas War on Terrorism Justified?
To me, America’s position on the War on Terrorism is justified. We can use the events of 9-11 and a domestic attack inside our own borders as a basis for an escalation of war, but the Western world has long been victims of terrorist attacks from Islamic fundamentalists. Worldwide terrorist attacks have always been in the name of a “Free Palestine,” and any nation who supports Israel’s rights to exist have been or are targets to be attacked. Our embassies have been under attack.The US embassy in Iran was overran which was the first time in the history that rogue bandits were allowed by a host country to attack a second nation’s embassy. An attack of an embassy is paramount to an attack on a nation. This occurred on November 4, l979 when 70 US personnel were held captive for 444 days. Some of the victims have identified the current president of Iran, Ahmadinejad, as one of the perpetrators of this act of war. In 1983, our embassy in Lebanon was bombed and 60 embassy staff workers were ki
