Is American Credit Repair legal?
The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives consumers the right to a credit report that is 100% accurate. If your report contains items that are inaccurate or questionable, you are legally entitled to dispute them and have them removed. According to this law, you can dispute items on your credit report, and the credit bureau then has 30 days to investigate your dispute. If the credit bureau cannot verify the item as accurate within that time, they must remove it from your report, by law. Thus, not only is American Credit Repair legal, but it also uses your legal rights to help maximize your credit score.
