Is Amanda Smith, the founder of Mrs. Smiths Bakery, still alive?
Although I have been unable to determine whether Mrs. Smith is alive or not, it seems highly unlikely that she would be. In the 1920’s she had a son of driving age, who first started selling her pies door to door. The company claims to continue a one hundred year tradition of baking the pies the same as Mrs. Smith did. This would in turn place her at well over one hundred years old.
