After further research, I have identified Dr. Berg’s technique as Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA), a system of analysis using reflex points on the body and muscle testing which seems to be rooted in the theories of Applied Kinesiology. CRA is not widely accepted in conventional medicine as is evident in this article by Stephen Barrett, MD – “Contact Reflex Analysis is Nonsense.” Also during the seminar, I browsed the “7 Principles” book and noted that much of the material seems to have been taken from Guyton/Hall – “Textbook of Medical Physiology” and Faigin – “Natural Hormonal Enhancement”.
