Alter Eco is totally independent from any political, religious, or ideological movement. Our actions are motivated solely by Fair Trade principles. Any other engagement of our staff members, shareholders, partners, and consumers shall not influence the company’s policies. Our principles are aligned with a global approach to fair trade. We believe this encompasses not only our contribution to the sustainable development of countries in the South, but also our endeavor to raise awareness about global growth in industrialized countries: – Maximization of revenue for fair trade producer organizations based on a healthy and robust growth – Working in priority with the most disadvantaged producers -Changing the production environment and remuneration scheme in the South as well as consumption patterns in the North through more transparency in the import and wholesale of products. In other words, Alter Eco proposes a model of economic growth that is both equitable and commercially dynamic.
