Oh yes absolutely it is! Aloe Vera not only softens the skin and yes even old scars, but it promotes healing. Which is why in survival training they teach the many medicinal benefits of the Aloe Vera plant. In it’s natural state Aloe Vera is a green gel like substance that makes up the fleshy portion of the plant and is also wonderful and oh sooo soothing for bad burns. I know from personal experience in this matter because I had an accident when I was a child with petrol and fire, and burned my leg with 1st and 2nd degree burns bordering on third. Of course my mother grabbed and broke open some fresh Aloe Vera gel and it helped to not only sooth the pain but prevented further damage and swelling till I could get some ice and get picked up by the ambulance and taken to the emergency ward. So of course upon hearing this the doctor was pleased and said that it was indeed the best thing to do and that even after healing I should continue utilizing it to promote the softening and healing o
