Is all natural Zeolite a supplement or a drug?
all natural Zeolite is sold as a food supplement. Many food supplements, such as Vitamin C and Omega 3 fatty acids, can be used therapeutically, but that does not make them drugs. Dr. Harvey Kaufman, the cancer researcher who formulated this purified form of zeolite, originally planned to move forward with the FDA drug-approval process. However, bringing a new drug to market is extremely expensive and time-consuming, and the challenge proved to be daunting. Dr. Kaufman then introduced his zeolite to biochemist Rik Deitsch, CEO of NutraPharma. Recognizing the product to be safe, natural, and non-toxic, Deitsch knew it could be brought to market much faster and at a much lower cost as a nutritional supplement rather than as a drug.
