Is all 1/2 inch tape usable on 2, 4 or 8 track 1/2 inch machines?
I have done some research and I believe that you may use 1/2 inch tape with 2, 4 and 8 track 1/2 inch machines. – top of page – Q: What is the difference between these two tape I found on your site: Professional Audio tape, 3600 Feet, Quantegy, Reel (Small), Cardboard Box. Mfg# 661-151111 and Quantegy 661, 1/4 Inch 3600 A: I did a little research and found a large difference with the GP9 Grand Master and the 661 Audio Series. The primary differences I found are as follows: The GP9 is for audio mastering, providing the highest output and lowest noise for studio mastering. The 661 is an industry standard for low-cost, non-backcoated analog open reel applications.
