Is alcohol prohibited in on campus residences?
No (although smoking is), but there are restrictions on any behaviour that may disrupt other residents – however caused. Remember that on campus accommodation is primarily a study environment. Parties are not permitted in individual units, but students can book recreation rooms designed for this sort of event. Each residence has a large recreation room. As with curfews, the emphasis is on not disturbing other residents, rather than specific bans. The legal drinking age in Western Australia is 18 years.
