Yes – these are all Scheherazade’s stories which she tells over 1001 nights. It’s a body of work I sure wish we had in European tradition. If you EVER get the chance – there’s a very old translation of the 1001 Nights by Sir Richard Burton in the 1800’s. The “Nights” are an absolutely vast set of stories when they’re all translated. In Burton’s translation there must be 20 books. Very hard to find – much worth the reading.
