Is air quality control a cross-cutting issue?

The Deputy Chairperson: Dunmurry, in my constituency, was rated two years ago as being the village with the highest pollution, and the council had to take action. The area contained an estate that was not a smokeless zone, and the council is working with the Housing Executive to try to eradicate that in the next few years. It cannot be done all at once. The Housing Executive will fund the change from coal to other fuels. Ms Anderson: District councils and the Housing Executive already work in partnership in relation to smoke control areas.
