Is AIK A New Argument against the Existence of the Christian God?
AIK is different from the argument that it is unfair of God to damn people who’ve never even heard of the Bible, while at the same time saving those fortuitous enough to have discovered it: a. AIK refers to those who never discovered the Bible before their physical deaths as well as those who were aware of it but did not know it completely or at least to a very high degree. Thus AIK is much broader in scope. b. AIK is not based on the differences between those who have heard of the Bible and those who have not. Rather, it is based on a similarity between them: the fact that the vast majority of people who’ve ever lived have only had an insufficient (if any) knowledge of the Bible. Moreover, AIK does not aim to show that the Christian God probably doesn’t exist because of the unfairness of requiring an excellent knowledge of the Bible in order to obtain salvation.
