A very significant component of UAN liquid fertilizer is urea. Secondly, the very intimate and immediate contact that UAN fertilizers establish with the soil upon application creates an opportunity for maximum urease action on the urea component of UAN. It is probably for these reasons that the application of AGROTAIN to broadcast and side-band applied UAN liquid fertilizers has been surprisingly effective.
