Is Agel s proprietary sweetener appropriate for consumption by diabetics and hypoglycemics?
• The proprietary sweetener in the Agel gel products has a very low glycemic index and should not have any significant effect on blood glucose levels. It contains low levels of high intensity sweeteners that are not taken up into the blood stream by the digestive system. It also contains Xylitol, a sugar alcohol, and Inulin which is a fructo-oligosaccharide, both of which also have very low glycemic indices. Prior to taking any vitamins, herbs, supplements or over-the-counter medications, we recommend that you consult with your physician. Are Agel products All Natural? • Agel OHM uses synthetic Taurine. Natural Taurine is derived from bile, and to be sensitive to all Agel Team Members varying religious beliefs, we chose to use the synthetic. The proprietary sweetener in each of the four gel products contains a very low level blend of artificial sweeteners, Neotame and Acesulfame-K. Both are indigestible and simply pass through the digestive system, but they cannot be considered natural
