Is Affirmative Action A Good Practice?

0

Many Supreme Court rulings on this matter have been about equally divided. Affirmative Action negates fundamental concepts carefully spelled out by the Declaration of Independence. Many people argue that Affirmative Action is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Providing any individual special dispensation for lack of intelligence or plain old hard work violates the pertinent article of the Constitution. Many immigrants to this country, the Italians, Chinese, European Jews and other races, who were unable to read or write the English language, encountered heavy‑handed discrimination in its worst form. These peoples were able, after a number of years, to assimilate into society via tireless work habits and self‑education.] Why is it then necessary to afford natural‑born citizens or even immigrants an unfair advantage? If we stop the constant press barrage about racism, and start reinforcing the concept of equality, maybe racism will eventually disappear.
