Is aestheticism superficial, or is deeper art just pretense?
All art is a communication. The best art is a deep communication in the most eloquent delivery through the artists chosen media, Aesthetics included. In order to achieve this, the artist should be so deeply connected to what they want to say, as to be the embodiment of the thought. once this is the case, they should master their media to convey the emotional and intellectual value they have embodied. Good art is often overlooked, as observers often lack the same appreciation of the thought content of the art. Example, how often have you seen blistering examples of great answers on YA, only to see them shot down by the voters and questioners simply because they could not appreciate the depth of the content?
