Is Aerie Recognized Outside of Montana?
Yes. Aerie students and instructors travel throughout the world. Aerie provides outstanding training on a local and national level. As we stated above, our courses, from Wilderness First Aid through Wilderness EMT, are taught to employees of the Student Conservation Association (SCA), NOLS, Outward Bound, the National Park Service, US Forest Service, and the BLM. Aerie provides training for the US Forest Service Smokejumper’s EMTs and the USFS Wildlands Firefighting program. Aerie instructors present at regional and national conferences, including the Wilderness Risk Management Conference (sponsored by SCA, NOLS, and OB), the International Conference on Outdoor Recreation and Education, the Rocky Mountain Trauma Symposium, the Spring Fever Trauma Conference (sponsored by the Montana Board of Medical Examiners) and the US Forest Service Incident Medical Specialist (IMS) program.
