Is adult Robitussin dm no alcohol bad while pregnant?
The active ingredients of Robitussin DM are dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg and guaifenesin 100 mg. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rates these drugs as a Pregnancy Category C, as there have been inadequate studies to approve it’s status as harmless and safe. However, research does show that neither guaifenesin nor dextromethorphan, in particular, do not appear to cause long-term effects on a developing fetus.
