Is Adrian Peterson a lock for NFLs Offensive Rookie of the Year?
Adrian Peterson should be the Offensive Rookie of the Year. There are many reasons why. First of all he is leading the NFL in rushing yards with 1,197 on 184 carries. He is quick, elusive, has good vision and is hard to bring down. His rushing average is a 6.5 which is better than any other running back in the league. At home this season he has 96 carries for 697 yards on a 7.3 average. On the road he has 88 carries for 500 yards with a 5.7 average. He has 10 rushing touchdowns on the year which is sensational for a rookie. He’s also not a bad receiver out of the backfield with 16 catches for 230 yards on a 14.4 yard average. He also has a receiving touchdown.
