Is Adrenal Fatigue a factor in people with HIV or Hepatitis C?
Adrenal Fatigue is a common factor in people with Hepatitis C and HIV. Unfortunately one of the treatments for Hepatitis C is the administration of corticosteroid drugs. This suppresses both the adrenals and the immune system, thus speeding the patient’s decline. A relationship has been demonstrated between survival of HIV infected patients and their levels of the adrenal hormone, cortisol.
