Is adopting a pet rabbit at a humane society safe?
It’s a great idea to adopt a rabbit! I didn’t adopt from the Humane Society, but from a rabbit rescue. I had to pay for the adoption, but our bunny came already spayed, which probably saved us about $200. I think that adopting might ensure a healthier rabbit, because as far as I know, the rabbits are checked by a vet before adoption. I’m pretty sure most pet store rabbits don’t see vets before being sold. Your rabbit might come with some pet food, but it’s best to make sure you have an ample supply before you go to get your rabbit.
