Is an addiction to smoking cigarettes foremost on the minds of internet users? Judging from the results of the graphs below, it seems not. The phrase “cigarette addiction” does not appear until the middle of Graph 3. Although it did receive over 30,000 annual queries, in comparison to other query numbers, “cigarette addiction” does not make the top 30. “Cheap cigarettes”, “cigarette coupons” and “discount cigarettes”, on the other hand, are of great interest, as well as specific brand name searches, including “camel cigarettes”, “newport cigarettes” and “marlboro cigarettes”.
