Is ACID Free good enough for conservation?
No. The acid in paper products is just one enemy of your artwork. Other enemies include airborne pollutants and ultraviolet radiation. Museum-grade mat board is also lignin-free, pH neutral (buffered), sulfur free, and certified free of other contaminants. The glazing should provide 98% UV filtering. The Bainbridge products used in our frames are also manufactured with the Artcare Archival System which traps and neutralizes external pollutants and harmful chemicals.
