Is a wireless CCTV transmitter and a wireless video sender the same thing ?

Yes. More or less. All video senders we have seen work on the same 4-channel setup as most wireless CCTV. The differences are that a video sender can be cheaper AND can transmit a remote control the other way, so you could control some PTZ equipment, a DVR or any other device that uses a remote control, except apparently some sky boxes, for some reason. With more specialised (and some say, illegal) wireless CCTV, you can of course get more powerful transmitters capable of broadcasting signals right out of your home, or for over a mile unobstructed, but this is the only advantage some CCTV transmitters will have. We use wireless video senders instead of wireless CCTV transmitters because they are cheaper can can transmit the remote control back to the equipment.
