Is a wiccan a religion?
The Wiccan religion is a positive, nature-oriented Pagan religion and it is actually derived from pre-Christian roots. The word “Pagan” is sometimes misunderstood itself when it simply means “country dweller”. The Wiccan religion is a very kind and loving path despite what your Christian friends may say (dont hate them for it, they simply dont understand). You dont have to explain to them. For me, I mostly keep my beliefs to myself unless I’m asked and I keep it brief….not because Im ashamed, but because, like I said, people don’t understand and some don’t want to accept anything but their own Christian beliefs. Did you know that almost all Christian holidays were taken from Pagan holidays? Christmas Lights represent lit candles for the Goddess and Gods. Wreaths, mistletoe, the colors all come from Pagan beliefs. Look it up. The Wiccan religion does not have commandments, catechism or similar doctrine, but there is one law…The Wiccan Rede: “An it harm none, do what thou wilt”. This
