Is a voter ever completely removed from the voter registration list?
Yes. A voter who has been designated inactive and does not vote in two consecutive federal elections is removed from the voter registration list. Once removed, a voter must reregister to become eligible to vote. Federal law prohibits any list maintenance activities within 90 days before a federal election.
