Is a unit in a cash management trust a retained cost base asset?

0

Jul 03, 2005 (Weekly Tax Bulletin – ABIX via COMTEX) The Australian Taxation Office’s TD 2005/27 discusses units in cash management trust and retained cost base assets. The unit holder’s receivals upon redemption are modified for accumulated gains or losses. A right to receive a set amount of Australian currency is needed though to qualify as a retained cost base asset as per TR 2005/10.
