Is a unionized workplace better than a non-union one?

Pro’s and COn’s to both. I have been both a manager of union and non-union businesses, and have been a worker in both, as well as a shop steward for the union, so I can see it from all sides. Union shops are fine for job security and benefits usually, but the union is only out for their money and often do not look out for the employees like they preach. Non-union shops can be good if the employer is good, and there is more flexibility to work in various jobs that a union shop will restrict sometimes. It really depends on the employer and how well they treat and pay their people with or without the union.
