Is a truck mount or an electric portable extractor better?
Neither one is better than the other. An experienced, well trained, and conscientious technician can do an equally good job with either type of equipment. A state-of-the-art portable extractor with a high pressure water pump, an in-line heater, and a RotoVac Power Wand can easily out perform a truck mount with a regular wand. The main factor in determining the likelihood of a quality cleaning job always comes down to the operator. Does he (or she) know what he’s doing, does he use high quality cleaning solutions, and will he spend enough time to do the job right.
