It is an opportunity that you can take advantage of after a couple of years in the firm. It is a strength of the “one global firm” philosophy, and most employees are encouraged to do so although no one is forced. Transfers are always agreed upon in discussions between the individual, the partners in Stockholm and the overseas office, to make sure that the timing is right (maybe also for your spouse).
