Is a trainer present during practices and games? If so, what kind of support can players expect to receive from the training staff?

Yes, there is always at least one certified athletic trainer at any and all practices, games and competitions. If a player needs assistance, he is encouraged to stop by the training room for treatment prior to practices/events. Trainers are available to assist injured athletes and to get them back on the field/court/etc. as soon as possible.
