More of a downgrade- Thinkpad computers are nicely built, but a Celeron 1.6Ghz is much weaker than your current p4-m 2.2Ghz. Also, XP needs more RAM than Windows 2000, so that 512mb will feel slow, especially after installing SP3. I’d look for something else.
