Is A-Systems JobView® an “Open Architecture” program?

0

Yes, it is. “Open Data Base Connectivity” (ODBC) is an optional feature available with A-Systems JobView®. It allows users to read (export) raw data from A-Systems JobView® files. (This is a “one way” feature, meaning data cannot be written back (imported) into A-Systems JobView®. That would violate the integrity of the accounting data.) People who are technical types use ODBC to export data from A-Systems JobView® so they can create their own reports. ODBC demands a level of expertise that A-Systems JobView® itself does not require. For that reason, A-Systems offers ODBC to experienced “tekkies”, but does not promote it as an optional feature.
