Is a student required to serve in volunteer projects in ORDER to accumulate volunteer hours?
No, CCS does not require volunteer service hours of the student. However, CCS does encourage all high school students to be involved in serving others whether or not the hours are being accumulated for scholarship or academic purposes. In ORDER for students to be eligible for Florida’s Academic Scholarship with the Bright Futures Program, there is a requirement of a minimum of 75 hours of community service.
