Is a shy person insecure?
A shy person is not always insecure. I do not like the term “insecurity” because it is vague and can be described in several different ways. In spite of that, it can be said that a certain shy person appears insecure in some situations. Another one becomes temporarily insecure in some situations. Yet another feels a discomfort so mild that it cannot be labeled as insecurity. Another individual is extremely confident and efficient in many areas and is disturbed only in certain interpersonal contacts.
