Is a Ruger LCP .380 adequate carry firearm for self defense?

The Ruger LCP in .380 auto is great because it fullfills the first rule of a gun fight. (Bring a gun). It is a short barreled weapon and it is hard to shoot accurately (though that gun is still a very accurate gun for its size). I’m going to say that it is great, for its size, but a larger gun is going to have more power and be easier to shoot. I’d definately get a different gun for a home gun or a car gun. This is a put it in your pocket and forget gun. .380 auto isn’t my choice in defensive calibers, but it will work. The worst part is that .380 auto is still hard to find. I like Hornady’s Critical defense for this gun.
