Is a Ruger 10/22 Rifle chambered in .22LR any good for combat?
a 22LR can kill a man, especially coming out of a long rifle barrel however, it is often a case of someone bleeding internally to death while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. If it is someone intent on killing you, they will probably have the strenght to keep on fighting you for a few minutes after you shoot them…unless you hit them in the brain, or spinal column or other very critical locations. Now, most criminals aren’t interested in getting shot, so most will run at the sight of an armed home owner, but still, no, it isn’t a very effective weapon at all.
