A. In most cases, railpasses are not accepted on city transportation systems such as buses and subways. Passes will generally cover local commuter trains that are above ground. The exception to this is the Swiss Pass, which is valid for transportation in 37 Swiss cities.

In most cases, railpasses are not accepted on city transportation systems. The exception to this is the Swiss Pass, which is valid for transportation in 35 Swiss cities. In Paris, we offer the Paris Visite Card, which allows you to travel on the Metro subway system.

Rail Europe does offers a wider variety of city passes in cities such as Paris, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Cordova, Seville, Brussels, Amsterdam and Prague.
