Is a potbelly pig a good gift for my daughters 7th birthday?
If you like potbellied pigs and are dedicated to it, yes. She’d like it at first, and then lose interest, but it’ll be like that no matter what you get her, shes 7. You’d have to train him though. I have a friend with a pig who acts just like a dog. They’re cool to have around when they’re trained and have a person who doesn’t mind taking are of it. Ever thought of a pet duck? The same friend has a duck that uses the litter box. I personally think ferrets are more entertaining. If you do choose a pet, make sure you train it and stay consistent. If you don’t want the hassle, don’t waste your time and money. Nobody wants an angry pot bellied pig. Are you planning on keeping in indoors?
