Is a Plant Layout Project eligible for ADI reimbursement?
Yes, as long as the “future state” plant layout is designed to implement lean techniques and can be shown to be more efficient (e.g.; space utilization, flow, flexibility,…) than the existing plant layout. A plant layout project can re-organize your existing facility or prepare you for moving to a new facility. Value Stream Mapping (VSM), kaizen, modeling and simulation are tools that should be used when performing a plant layout project.
