• Yes. Under no circumstances may a dental assistant administer radiographs without the appropriate radiology permit. Also, dental hygienists who are graduates of ADA-accredited dental hygiene programs, who are not licensed in Mississippi, and who are working in Mississippi as dental assistants must have radiology permits before administering radiographs. Refer to Board Regulation 25.
