Is a patch/sensitivity test really necessary?
Yes, it is always recommended to carry out a patch/sensitivity test before using any Hair dye product. This test determines whether some allergy against any of the ingredients present in the product exists or not. But do not worry, as the patch test is really very simple to perform. To check sensitivity, wash with soap and water a small patch of skin on the inner wrist. Apply paste on the patch and allow it to dry for sometime. If there is no irritation, inflammation or any other discomfort in or around the area of the patch, it may be assumed that no allergy to the product exists and you may go ahead and use the hair dye.
