Yes Nirankari wedding is covered under the Hindu Marriage Act,1955. Reason is that all person following the Nirankari sect are Hindus according to the definition of Hindus as given under sec 2(1)(c) which states any other person domiciled in the territories to which the Act extends who is not a Muslim,Christian,Parsi or Jew by religion…… this Act applies. So if you are not a person following any of the above mentioned religion then you will be Hindu for whom the Hindu Marriage Act,1954 apply & any marriage celebrated or solominised under any form of the sect you belong with full rites & customs will be marriage covered under the said Act.
