Is a New Star Trek TV Series in the Works?
Bryan Fuller, who produced the final season of Star Trek: Voyager and was the man behind the highly-successful first season of Heroes, is publicly lobbying to launch a new Star Trek series. His pitch has been fueled by director J.J. Abrams’ reboot of the franchise via the latest Star Trek movie. “I told my agent and told the people of J.J. Abrams’ team I want to create another Star Trek series and have an idea that I’m kicking around,” Fuller said recently. “I loved Voyager and Deep Space Nine, but they seem to have lost the ’60s fun and I would love to take it back to its origin.” Fuller’s credibility is bolstered by his resume.
