The Lancer has been in the Mitsubishi product lineup since 1973 along with the Galant. There is a reason why both cars particularly the Lancer still are. The Lancer has been the best seller in the lineup for Mitsubishi overall. I started driving the 2nd generation Lancer in the 80’s with their boxy model. Then, the 4th and 6th generation. Bought the 7th generation Lancer with the Evo IX MR. Now, Mitsubishi brings out the current 8th generation Lancer which I think is the best looking Lancer. So far the 4B11 engine is holding its own since its introduction. Reviews are very good. And gas consumption overall is 25 mpg. Decent but could be better. Bottom line, I love it!
