Is a microphone that is built into a monitor a good solution for Echolink?
To me the microphone that is mounted as part of your monitor is not a good setup for Echolink or any other communications. It was put there as a “value add” feature for making money only. The audio from these types of microphone tend to be bassy and hard to understand, especially if the person hearing use is out in his mobile. I’d recommend getting a desk or head phone microphone that will at about 3″ from you mouth.
