An astroid with the highest probability of striking earth is Apophis. It wouldn’t happen until 2036 though. See link: http://www.space.com/news/051103_asteroi… I forgot to mention this one also: With little fanfare, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Near Earth Objects (NEO) program has listed asteroid 2004 VD17 as having the highest known threat of impacting Earth within the next century. The program’s website listed the object as having a 1 in 1,400 chance of impacting Earth on May 4, 2102 or on the same date in 2104. No, no meteor or asteroid has been observed that will hit Earth in 2010, or any other year. Some have been discovered that will pass close, but none will hit.

There is a NEO (near earth object) that will cross very near earth’s orbit in 2010. The likely hood of this small asteroid to collide with earth is roughly 1/100000; so very unlikely, but in astronomical terms; likely enough to be worried about.

No. That’s one of those end of the world scenario’s that isn’t going to happen. like al gore’s prediction years ago that global warming would melt the ice caps and flood new york by now. It hasn’t happened. for encouragement, listen to ttb.org.
