Yes. A mentor is recommended for students in all semester courses. Research suggests that the success rate for students with a mentor is significantly higher than for those without a mentor. In addition, when the superintendent or designee signs the TxVSN Agreement, the district is assuming the responsibility to assign a local mentor to students taking course through the TxVSN.
